Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Do you guys use reusable grocery bags? I think a lot of people in the west coast use them, esp. in California, but here in the Midwest, not as many people do, at least that I know of. But it seems like a good idea because they are eco-friendly and less wasteful. These are super cute reusable grocery bags that if I had, I would probably use too!

I'm so obsessed with eco-friendly totes. They're quite sturdy, and add such a fun, chic accessory to your look. I currently have a Baggu (actually it's my mom's - I gave it to her), an Envirosax (which is my nephew's - I gave it to him), and am awaiting the arrival of my One Language Label Haute Bag (this one is for me!). :)

In the UK a lot of people use them now as some supermarkets now charge you for using the plastic bags! These are some great options.

August 16, 2009 at 2:42 PM
Very cute! I try to be more eco-friendly whenever I can and remember.. This I usually do always because I hate plastic bags!
August 16, 2009 at 3:38 PM
Yep, I rock a big reusable tote!
August 16, 2009 at 4:52 PM
I live in North Carolina. Some places might, but I've not really noticed people here in the eastern part of the state where I live. I do always use the plastic bags I get at the market for other things so I'm reusing them.
August 16, 2009 at 5:09 PM
Yes, I do use them. I love these. I use a jute one from our market, pretty and functional now though - I mean, before I saw these photos~!
August 16, 2009 at 5:43 PM
These are so much cuter than mine! haha
August 16, 2009 at 6:09 PM

I try to use them often but there are times when I forget....but we have about 10. They're definitely not as cute as those though. They're the cheap free kind. And not cute. At All!! ;)

i love them! going green is the way to go.
August 16, 2009 at 8:51 PM
I use the free tote bags I got from shopping online and I've been using the same one to carry my groceries for years! If I'm only buying small things like makeup or lotion, I just carry it and don't request plastic bags. xxooxox
August 16, 2009 at 9:16 PM
these are absolutely ADORABLE!!! and green! and useful! just perfect!
August 16, 2009 at 9:39 PM
So cute! I always keep mine in my car to remind myself, then forget. Shame on me. I gotta get better at this!
August 16, 2009 at 9:48 PM
You're right, hardly anyone uses those here!! I do get the plastic bags at Jewel, but I save them up and return them to the bag recycling at the store.
August 16, 2009 at 9:54 PM
I just use my recycled water bottle shopping bags I got at Whole Foods (for only $1 each!). I just leave them in the back of my car so they're ready at every shopping trip! =) I love that this has become so trendy...I really think that little things like this will make a big difference for the environment!
August 16, 2009 at 10:13 PM
yep, i use em :)
August 16, 2009 at 11:11 PM
I need too! But then when I start using them, what am I gonna line my trash can with? :( haha.. I guess shopping bags!
August 16, 2009 at 11:24 PM
Yes! I use a $10 striped beach bag embroidered with cute green turtles that I found on a super-sale at TJ Maxx. I may have to get a different one though for the fall/winter season so I don't look insane with a beach bag in Nov!
LOL!
August 16, 2009 at 11:26 PM

August 17, 2009 at 5:33 AM
So many of the shops near me no longer have plastic bags so I've been learning to bring my own.
August 17, 2009 at 8:42 AM
those are so pretty!!! I don't use so much- you see we collect plastic bags to pick up dog poop on daily walks (ewww, I know)- so until there is better solution for this....
August 17, 2009 at 9:26 AM
These are so useful! It's a pity that plastic bags are still widely used in Malaysia
August 17, 2009 at 10:14 AM
the bags are all so cute!
i need to get in the habit of using my own bags. i have some but they are not cute like these!

August 17, 2009 at 10:17 AM

Thanks...feel free to do those tags too....I have a similar bag as those ones from envirosax..I use it for my books...:)
August 17, 2009 at 3:33 PM
These are beyond cute!! I usually take back the paper bags I got the last time, because they credit you 5 cents for each one, and I feel better using less bags. I have a few reusable ones, but nothing this cute!
August 17, 2009 at 4:25 PM
These are so cute! Love them all!
August 17, 2009 at 5:42 PM
holy those are fashionable shopping bags lol. I'm using walmart's plastic bag for my groceries! Need to upgrade :)
I agree that Spencer is worst than Heidi, he was actually the one interviewing Heidi on the playboy interview! Gosh Hugh Helfner needs to make better career decisions for playboy!
August 17, 2009 at 8:52 PM

August 17, 2009 at 11:55 PM
I wish I had these bags instead of the ones I use. I know I should stop using so much plastic.

August 18, 2009 at 1:03 AM
All so cute!
August 18, 2009 at 1:17 AM
Reusable bags are brilliant! In fact, they have been one of my boutique's greatest sellers!
August 18, 2009 at 2:51 AM
So, I reuse my shopping bags, but I just reuse the ones they give me (the ugly plastic ones) until I need them for the trash can, for packing, etc. Too lazy to buy pretty ones, I guess.
August 18, 2009 at 6:32 PM
i have purchased reusable bags from wholefood but nothing like that.
August 18, 2009 at 7:44 PM
These are so cute, I think I need one or two in my life.
