Sheer Done Right

Sheer is another trend for the summer. It's nice and breezy for those warm summer days and nights. But you have to be careful with wearing sheer because you want to look tasteful, not trashy. Here are examples of sheer done right:
And ladies, make sure you wear a bra underneath a sheer shirt or dress. You don't want to show too much skin. Make sure you keep your "goodies" hidden! ;)

Sheer pieces can be tough to pull off because no one wants to really see ALL THAT MUCH, but these photos prove that when done right, it can look classy, elegant, and sexy! Love this post :)

I love sheer too, but you are right, you either need something underneath or maybe another color to off set it a bit? Lovely pictures...makes me want to experiment. :)

Beautiful and inspiring pictures to wear Sheer! I always wear something inside if I wearing a see-through shirt but sometimes I don't feel like I want to when it's really hot though :-P xxoxoxoxo

I love HP's outfit, though I wish she wore her hair up as to not distract from the neckline :) Is it just me or is Zoe Saldana crazy gorgeous???

p.s. I keep meaning to tell you, your name is partly what drew me to your blog. My grandmother who I absolutely LOVE who passed away a number of years ago was named Lily. Whenever I hear "Lily" I associate it with lovely memories and all things sweet.

I adore sheer! So feminine. I bought 2 sheer blouse (mustard or cream) from my fave thrifted store. I'll add pearl necklace...so Chanel...

These are gorgeous. I've seen some pretty bad examples of sheer. Hayden and Zoe look amazing!

I was asked to write a piece about sheer fashion, and I couldn't do it! I hate sheer fabric. Not only is it impossible to wash, but 9 out of 10 times it's a little Madonna meets prostitution. With that said, the examples you showed were lovely, and I can't argue fantastic design. No matter how much I despise the fabric. Perhaps I will go back to that editor, and submit the piece.

Love sheer! But I debate whether showing your bra can be done classy or is always trashy. Guess it depends? Love the pictures you posted though!
