So I was just wasting time browsing online when I came across a picture of Leighton Meester (who plays Blair) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) from Gossip Girl on the set of their show. But what really caught my eye was the shirt Jessica Szohr was wearing:
I had to stop and look again because I actually have that same exact shirt!!! I just wore it yesterday! I actually let out a little gasp! It's obviously a shirt that can be easily spotted and is pretty one of a kind. I was so surprised because I expected the Gossip Girl fashionistas to be wearing designer clothes, not a shirt from Urban Outfitters (maybe that's just me).
I was kind of anti-Vanessa because she got to date Chace Crawford, who drool drool is my celebrity crush...
But now that I see that she can wear clothes just like us "normal" girls, my animosity towards her has dwindled, but just by a little bit, haha.
If you're interested, the shirt I'm referring to is the BDG Plaid Boyfriend Buttondown. And it's on sale right now!!! I absolutely adore the shirt. It's so comfy and cute! If you don't like this color, there are a couple other colors too.
It's so great to see celebrities in clothes that us non-celebrities wear. They know how to keep it real! Rock on, Jessica, rock on! Just keep your hands off of Chace please, ok? Thanks!

ah, love gossip girl! i didn't really like vanessa's character. plus she differs so much from the vanessa from the gossip girls books and i resented that. lol that shirt is totally cute though!

I love Vanessa. She's such a stylish and naturally gorgeous girl. She definitely gets marginalized because of all the attention Blair and Serena get. OMFG. I'm talking about them as if they were my real friends. Haha. Hope you're enjoying your week, darling.

I love plaid shirts. I have one in pale pink and mauve..and I usually wear it with a purple tank inside and wide braided brown waist belt cinched over it.
Love :)
And adore GG OF COURSE. Though, Blake aka Serena is my favorite.
And yes, Chace Crawford is ridiculously hot. *drool*

I totally get it. When celebrities wear clothes that we have, it makes us feel cool. And makes easier to relate to. Go you and your plaid shirt! Yes, it's YOURS...not Jessica's. Just like Chace. :)

Lol...I think celebrities look very cute when they dress down and are in basic tops/shorts/jeans because you see them wearing all those designer dresses all the time! I love the pictures! They both look so laid back and pretty! xxooxox

i love those 2 chicks. i would die to look like either one of them. and actually i'm a HUGE fan of vanessa/jessica. she's so exotic looking and fashionably unique and i loooove her style which means i love yours too!

on gossip girl vanessa isn't rich so its not like she would have designer clothes. By putting her in a shirt that people might recognize that reminds you that she doesn't have as much money as the other characters.
