Colored Denim Debate

I'm not sure how I feel about colored denim pants. This 80's trend is coming back, but personally, I kind of feel like you have to have a certain type of style to pull this off or be under the age of 18. What do you guys think?
These are Ksubi (formerly Tsubi) skinny colored denim pants:
For those of you who want to be less bold, try grays, blacks, or other more subtle/neutral colors:
But for those of you who are bold and brave and can pull this look off, more power to you! Rock those bright colors!

I stick with the greys and blacks, but I give mad props to anyone who pulls off the bright colors! I just feel like it draws too much attention to areas I like to minimize haha! :) XO

I'm not sure either! :) I like the black, grey and white. Sometimes the brighter colors look fabulous, but I just don't know...

I don't know what it is about the denim, because I dig colored tights. I can do the grey and black.
But I don't think I'll be grabbing for the teal or pink anytime soon. Or ever.
I'll take a picture of my outfit if I ever do wear them!

it's interesting because i got a pair of hot pink corduroy pants just like those in the top picture (from j crew)...and i just adore them! i'm a pretty basic dresser, but those pants are so much fun! i would have never thought i would pull off that look...

Oh I can't pick just one- these are all SO cute! If I could pull of the pink ones, I'd probably go for those!

although me personally i always go for black,...i think it would be fun to have a bold color with an oversized comfy tee, color can be so much for summer:)

I'm a huge fan of colored jeans. Basically anything that gets more color into my daily life is fine by me. I have a pair of bright blue jean shorts that I basically live in.

I think they're really fun to wear! I saw a teenvogue intern wear a bright yellow one with a dress shirt and it looks so pretty on her! xxoxoxo

I would go for the less bold colors. They're also more flattering to more body types. I feel like you have to be pencil thin and tall to pull off some of those less flatter colors...like yellow.

i see some people who look cute in the bright colors, but personally i have to stick w/the grays and blacks. i like the pic w/the purple ones and the heels!

i tend to stick with the darker colored jeans or more faded colors instead of bright, because i do agree that theyre more for 18yr olds and under. cute though!

They are hard to wear- agreed! I bought a pair of acid wash red ones (yes, red AND acid-washed) from american apparel- I love them, but they are difficult to style.

Hmm, not sure I could pull off colored jeans - I may stretch and go as far as gray, but I don't think I can do florescent colors, specifically because I don't have long legs, and I'm just too old! Haha.
